The Harrison Fire Department has been very busy lately fighting fires. They made the Harrison Daily Times again, thanks to photos by Lee Dunlap. Firefighters say make sure your smoke detectors are working!!! It could save your life.

The 2025-2026 class of Boone County Leadership Institute visited City Hall today. They heard from Executive Assistant to the Mayor, Christeen Waters; Division Chief CRR Jeremy Sansing; Division Chief-Operations, Thanh Ketchum; Fire Chief Marc Lowery, Police Chief Chris Graddy, and Mayor Jerry Jackson. They toured the facility and gained insight into police and fire operations that protect not only city residents but also residents in rural communities and neighboring counties, as needed.

Green for Life has purchased the LRS company. Services and schedules will remain the same as with LRS for now. The look of the trucks and uniforms will be changing.
