Record number of guests expected this weekend

April 12-13, 2025

Mayor Jerry Jackson said, “We’ve been looking forward to this weekend for a long time. This is our opportunity to showcase our area and the Creekside Community Center to more than 4,000 people simultaneously. We have terrific facilities, and hosting multiple tournaments on the same dates is a dream come true, which will be a big boost to our local economy.”

Parks and Recreation Director Chuck Eddington said, “We are very excited about the two major events scheduled for Saturday and Sunday. There are 166 confirmed teams coming, and the weather is looking great for the weekend. This should fill up our hotels and restaurants and benefit the community.”

BeElite Basketball

Eddington said. “The public is invited to come to one of the ten gym locations in the city for Basketball grades 3 through 12, boys and girls. The games will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday and Sunday at Creekside Courts, Harrison High School, North Arkansas College Pioneer Pavilion, or the Burlsworth Youth Center. The cost to watch is $15 for adults and $10 for seniors and children per day at the gate.” The basketball tournament is part of BeElite Sports with 125 confirmed teams.
