K9 Jerry to leave police force

With sadness, the Harrison Police Department announced that K9 Jerry has a tumor, which is causing internal bleeding, and the condition is inoperable.

K9 Jerry served from 2015 to 2021.

He is a Sable German Shepherd from the Czech Republic. He was trained as a dual-purpose K9 (narcotics/apprehension).

He was friendly but knew when it was time to work. K9 team Morgan and Jerry received several awards from the Harrison Police Department and an award from the FBI. His service to the community and his friendship will never be forgotten.
