The City of Harrison is excited to announce a new upgrade to the golf simulator at the Creekside Community Center: the Harrison Country Club course is now part of its growing list of playable options.
This addition brings a new level of familiarity and hometown pride to the state-of-the-art simulator, allowing residents — especially youth — to virtually experience one of Harrison’s most well-known courses.
Mayor Jerry Jackson said the goal behind installing the golf simulator was to introduce more kids to the game. “Golf builds character, and we wanted to give young people who might not normally have the chance to play a way to experience it,” said Jackson. “Now, with the Harrison Country Club course added, they can get familiar with a course right here in their own community.”
Harrison Parks and Rec Executive Director Chuck Eddington added, “We’re very excited here at Parks to offer this community course in a way that can be enjoyed year-round. And like the mayor said, it gives families — and especially kids — the opportunity to play the course, even if they don’t have a membership at the country club.”
Since its installation, the golf simulator has become a popular feature at the Creekside Community Center, providing year-round access to a variety of courses from around the world. The inclusion of a local favorite like the Harrison Country Club adds a personal touch and deepens the simulator’s connection to the Harrison community.
Creekside offers annual memberships, three-month passes, and day passes. Members age 16 and up can go online to harrisonparks.com to schedule a time to try out the new course. Youth ages 15 and under are welcome, but must be accompanied by an adult.
Residents are encouraged to visit the Creekside Community Center and try out the new course. Whether you're an experienced golfer or just starting out, it’s a great way to sharpen your skills and enjoy a piece of Harrison history.
