North Arkansas Regional Medical Center (NARMC) has joined the Arkansas Children’s Hospital Nursery Alliance, a statewide collaboration designed to strengthen newborn care across Arkansas.
This alliance builds upon the exceptional care already provided by NARMC’s physicians, nurses, and care teams. By joining the alliance, NARMC gains enhanced access to neonatology expertise and best practices from Arkansas Children’s Hospital, the state’s only Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This added support ensures that families in North Arkansas have the benefit of advanced clinical resources while continuing to receive care in their own community.
Through the alliance, NARMC will expand access to expertise through consultative support from Arkansas Children’s neonatologists. Provide continuing education for local providers and staff through shared training and quality initiatives. Coordinate care more seamlessly when newborns require advanced treatment, ensuring smooth transitions if transfer is necessary. Strengthen long-term outcomes through participation in statewide quality improvement efforts and follow-up programs for high-risk infants.
For families, this brings added reassurance that advanced resources and expertise are available locally, supported by a strong connection to Arkansas Children’s for situations requiring specialized care beyond our region. By joining the Arkansas Children’s Hospital Nursery Alliance, NARMC continues to advance rural healthcare by bringing additional expertise and resources to families close to home, ensuring every newborn has the strongest possible start in life.
