Leta Price

As part of Police Chief Chris Graddy’s report to the City Council on Thursday night, Dec. 18, the chief presented an award to Leta Price.

“We often discuss the good things our police officers do here at City Council. This is a letter from the Division of Law Enforcement Standards and Training,” Graddy said. “This is from the program where all of our officers get their certification.”

“I have enclosed a certificate of recognition from the Arkansas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Training in recognition of your performance during your 2025 Standards audit. It is extremely rare for an agency to be found in 100 percent compliance. On behalf of myself and Director Chapmond, thank you. Your commitment to holding your agency to the highest standards was evident throughout the audit process. Thank you for your service. If you ever need anything from us at Standards, please reach out,” Kelvin Sergeant, Deputy Director of Standards, Arkansas Department of Public Safety, wrote.

Graddy told the Council, “That sounds real good to me. But I can’t take the credit. The credit belongs 100 percent to Leta Price. She is the clerk responsible for this. Not one other agency got this, but us. That’s why Leta is our “Officer of the Year.”

Leta started working for the city on July 29, 1996. Congratulations.
