Transparency and accountability matter to all city leaders, and they matter to our community. I want you to know exactly how your city government manages public funds.
Each year, the City undergoes three separate audits to ensure responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars:
Federal Audit
Reviews all federal grant funds to ensure proper compliance, reporting, and appropriate use of those funds.
Water and Sewer Audit
Examines all financial activity related to our water and sewer operations, including infrastructure investments and utility billing.
Legislative Audit
Covers all other city departments and funds, including general operations, streets, parks, fire, and police services.
I’m proud to share that all three audits have consistently resulted in clean opinions for many years. A strong reflection of careful financial management and responsible oversight. We are thankful to have CFO Luke Feighert overseeing the city finances.
Copies of these audits are available on the City’s website, and any additional financial information is always available upon request. My commitment is simple: open books, honest government, and accountability to the people of Harrison.
