The City of Harrison, Arkansas will accept sealed bids for Cemeteries Grounds Maintenance at  four City of Harrison Cemeteries (Maplewood, Rosehill, Fick, & Smith).  

Bidding documents are on file and may be examined at the Public Works Facility located at 303  N. Third St., Harrison, AR. Copies of these documents may be obtained from the Public Works  Facility upon request via email at tholt@harrisonar.gov or telephone at 870-741-3434. 

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 2:00 PM (local time), Wednesday, September 23,  2026 in the Council Chambers at City Hall (118 Industrial Park Rd.). Bids submitted by Bidders  who do not attend the pre-bid meeting will be rejected and returned to the Bidder unopened. 

Each bid must be accompanied by an acceptable statement of bidder’s qualifications. The  requirements of the bidder’s statement of qualifications will be furnished to prospective bidders  with the bid documents. 

Bids must be made on the official bid sheets contained in the contract documents, and such bid  sheets shall not be removed from the remainder of the specifications and contract documents. All  bids shall be sealed and the envelopes addressed to the Mayor, City of Harrison, P.O. Box 1715 (118 Industrial Park Rd.), Harrison, AR 72601. All bids shall be plainly marked on the outside of the envelope specifying that it is a bid for “Cemetery Grounds Maintenance”, the time for opening of bids, and the name of the bidder. 

Sealed bids will be received in the Mayor’s Office until 2:00 PM (local time), Tuesday, September  29, 2026 at which time bids will be opened and publicly read in the Harrison City Council Room. 

The City of Harrison reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities in the proposal deemed to be in the best interests of the City. The City further reserves the right to withhold awarding the contract for a period not to exceed 60 days after receipt of bids.
