Mayor Jackson has recognized individuals and groups for their tremendous contributions to the City during his eight years as mayor. On Thursday night, Oct. 1, he attended a meeting of the Master Gardeners and presented President Cory Hopingardner with special recognition for their participation in making the downtown area a beautiful place for plants and flowers.
Jackson said, “Presented in recognition of the Boone County Master Gardeners for their outstanding volunteer service and commitment to making Harrison a more beautiful and welcoming community. Through your knowledge, hard work, and thousands of hours of service, the dedicated volunteers have made a lasting difference throughout Harrison, especially in our downtown area. The flowers, plantings, hanging baskets, and beautification efforts reflect a true pride in our community, and Harrison is deeply grateful for the expertise and dedication you so generously share.”
