Mayor Jerry Jackson met with the volunteers and leaders of Camp Jack on Monday morning to present an award recognizing all the organization has done for our veterans and this community. Director Tom Qualls accepted the certificate, which stated, “Presented in recognition of Camp Jack, the Jack Williams Veterans Resource Center, for its extraordinary service to the veterans of Harrison and North Arkansas. Created by veterans for veterans, Camp Jack partnered with the City of Harrison to transform the historic former National Guard Armory into a place of assistance, fellowship, dignity, and hope. Through the vision of its founders, dedicated volunteers, and partnership with the City of Harrison, Camp Jack has become a remarkable community resource and a lasting expression of our gratitude to the men and women who served our nation.”
