Female pilots from around the United States are participating in the ARC (Air Race Classic). The first and second locations to begin the race had to be adjusted due to weather. Many of the pilots will spend the night and take off after 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 18. Go to the Boone County Regional Airport on Airport Road, watch the planes land, and meet some great pilots!

The Boone County Conservation District hosted a fun day at Mini Harris Park for families to learn about agriculture, especially how to deal with poison hemlock. One of the demonstrations included learning how to trap wild pigs remotely.

In honor of Flag Day, June 14, the American Legion will host a flag lowering ceremony at the flag pole of City Hall on June 13 at 5 p.m. The symbolism and meaning of the 13-fold pattern will be explained. Friday: Assembly at 5 p.m., Flag lowering at 5:15. Saturday, June 14, Assembly at 7:30, Flag raising at 7:45 a.m.
Poison Hemlock information is available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Minnie Harris Park.
Harrison Parks worked on replacing some old fencing that will frame the Creekside Amp area in preparation for the first concert to be held Friday, June 27. The gate opens at 5 p.m., and the concert begins at 6 p.m. Tickets are available at CreeksideAmp.com
Performing that night will be Tyler Farr, Sadie Bass, and opening act, Chris Luneau The White Buffalo.
