Congratulations to Mayor-elect Mitch Magness and the men and women who will make up the 2027 Harrison City Council.

Reelected council members are Gwen Hoffmann, Larry Phillips, Charlie Pierce, Reed H. Petty, and Wayne Cone. Elected members are Roni Combs, Shon Hardy, and Jeff Pratt.

Also reelected are City Attorney Nancy Cartwright and City Clerk James L. White.

Join us Thursday, November 5, at 6 p.m. on the Harrison Square for our annual Christmas Tree Lighting!

We'll have Christmas music from the Harrison High School Choir, a special chime performance by Lyric Theater, community caroling, and, of course, the big moment when we light the tree! 🎄

There are many places to safely Trick or Treat. The neighborhood at the golf course asked the city to make their streets one way for Oct. 31. Also the Police and Fire Departments will be at City Hall passing out candy Saturday from 5 p.m. to 7 p..m. Check out the events at Explore Harrison for more places for sweet treats this weekend!

The crowd was amazing at the Museum event last night. Lots of families with children and teens and people were so excited to see the Museum. Many had never been before. We heard great comments all evening. Thank you to the Harrison150 Committee, Pepsi, First Community Bank, ABC Advertising and the Museum volunteers who talked about each room and provided tours. But the most thanks go to the families of Harrison who came out to sponsor this event. We have a tremendous Museum and some great artifacts to be proud!
