The Harrison150 Committee finally got the banner hung and banners will be all over the downtown area to remind citizens of this important milestone for our city. Here are some fun shots of the Harrison150 Committee hanging the new banners downtown. Chairman Mitch Magness volunteered to climb the ladder. In case you haven't heard, Harrison will turn 150 years old this year, and various activities and celebrations are planned for May 1, June 6, and July 4. Stay tuned!

There is lots of activity at the intersection of Harness and Hester this morning. Go the back ways if you can to avoid possible delays. Drive slowly and stay aware of workers if you do need to go through this area.

Improvements to the intersection of Hester and Hwy 65 will get underway on February 17. To facilitate the changes, portions of Harness St. between Hwy 65 and Bunker Rd. will be closed; please see detour map. While this poses a temporary inconvenience to the traveling public, we are excited to see this project moving forward. When completed, Harness St. will be realigned into the new traffic signal, eliminating the need for the traveling public to go through a private parking lot.
