Kevin Luthringer, from the Little Rock office of ARDOT Communications interviewed Mayor Jackson and COO/Engineer Wade Phillips about the Main Street Bridge Opening Ceremony scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 14. The Harrison High School Goblin Band will play before the ceremony and ribbon cutting. Guests are encouraged to park at Creekside Community Center and ride a shuttle over to the seating area provided on the bridge. Commemorative hand fans will be give away while supplly lasts.

The Harrison Parks and Rec Summer Program comes to a close on Thursday, Aug. 6 with school starting soon. Director Chuck Eddington said this has been a great summer for the students and appreciates the leadership of Staci Tucker and her staff. The students have been on several field trips and always seem to enjoy a day at Creekside. More than 200 different students were signed up for the program and they averaged about 115 students each day.

IT'S ALMOST TIME! Some of the final finishing touches may still need to be worked on, but Goblin Drive will be open to through traffic by end of day Friday, Aug. 7 according to Crouse Construction.

Have a blast playing golf and helping a wonderful Foundation, Front Line Families, that benefits our community.

Paving on Goblin Drive started Monday morning. The project will be complete enough to remove the detour before school begins on Aug. 10. Stay tuned for opening day!
