ABC meeting today at 1 p.m.

The HDBR sponsored a firetruck pull, and 10 teams participated to raise funds for Special Olympics. A total of $4,785 was raised today. The fastest team after two pulls was No Weak Links with 35 seconds. The next was the Harrison Fire Department with 36 seconds, and third was ReMax with 36.7 seconds. The best spirit award went to the Hauligans Team. Participating teams were Weichert Realty, El Mexico Lindo, Team Drew, Anstaff Bank, ReMax Truck Boys, Hauligans, Vigilante Inspections, No Weak Links, Boone County Sheriff's Department, and the Fire Department.

There will be a regularly scheduled Planning Commission meeting at 1 p.m. on August 26, 2025, in the City Council Chambers at 118 Industrial Park Road. The public is invited.

Two Open Air team members are checking for leaks at Creekside Aquatics and testing the timing mechanisms of the ceiling parts that open.

The Water Dept is doing maintenance on the Sherman Water Tank. Water should be expected to be seen running down the streets (Sherman Ave, N Spruce, etc.) in the area today and on Monday.
