





The 36-inch LED flashing light stop signs are now in place on Speer Drive, making Speer and Burls Way an ALL-WAY Stop.




After reviewing several applications, the board approved:

Zenbu Japanese Restaurant
Salsa’s Grill of Harrison
Elk’s Lodge of Harrison # 2311
The mayor’s assistant, Christeen Waters, told the board that about six applications for renewal weren’t complete. The Board members agreed to wait until she had all the necessary documentation before having the next board meeting.
New forms were approved for next year’s application process.

Goblin Drive roadwork is well underway. Remember to use the Speer Drive, Burls Way Detour, or use Hwy. 397 if you don't have students or business on Goblin. An ALL-WAY STOP will be enforced on Thursday, AUGUST 7, at the intersection of Speer Drive and Burls Way.




1002 N. Spring St. (Boston Mountain Rural Health) to W. Bower St.
will be closed Friday, August. 8, 2025 from 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
for a street project.

Nail St. will be closed Wednesday, Aug. 6 through Friday, Aug. 8,
2025 from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. each day for a street project.

Crouse Construction has started work on the intersection at Airport Drive. The project will add a signal light to this very busy intersection.

W. Stephenson Ave. between S. Oak St. and S. Spruce St. will be
closed Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2025 from 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. for a
roadcut/manhole project.
The following streets will also have one lane closures for a short
amount of time during the day:
E. Gordon Ave., Center St., 1122 N. Spring St., 1006 N. Spruce St.
N. Maple St. at W. Smythe Ave., 110 Prairie, 104 Lincoln Ave.,
105 W. Rush Ave., and E. Argyle Ave. and Second St.
