The Harrison Regional Chamber of Commerce and the City of Harrison hosted a ribbon cutting for the new Creekside Amp. Cliff and Susan, who recently received the 2025 Arkansas Country Music Awards, sang a couple of songs for the group. The first official concert will be June 27 with Tyler Farr, Sadie Bass and Chris Luneau and the White Buffalo. Tickets are on sale at Creekside Amp.com




Thank you to the City of Harrison Sewer Dept. They worked on a sewer construction project at the Harrison Youth Center, which had a problem over the weekend.

There is a scheduled power outage for the traffic signals at the intersection of Hwy. 65 and Hester Drive beginning at 11 p.m., Tuesday, June 24, and ending at 5 a.m., Wednesday, June 25. During the power outage, the traffic signals will not be in operation. Temporary stop signs will be placed in the intersection, and it will function as an all-way stop until power is restored. The scheduled outage is part of power line relocation work being completed by Entergy before construction begins on a project to improve the intersection.

Maplewood and Rose Hill Cemetery will be closed Monday, June 23, from 4 p.m. until Tuesday, June 24, at 6 a.m. for routine pesticide spraying on the trees. Thank you for understanding. This keeps our cemeteries beautiful! Please share to help us get the word out.

June is National Homeowner's Month and the Northwest Regional Housing Authority hosted an open house on Wednesday. June 18 with Anstaff Bank cooking lunch. The Harrison Regional Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting for Cyle and Terran Gates, the owners of Gates Prosthetics & Mobility Clinic. The Gates have both worked with prosthetics for many years in Harrison and now have three locations in Mountain Home, Bentonville, and Harrison. City employees go above and beyond the regular call to duty! Carl Rine, GIS Coordinator, is searching for a manhole hidden in the brush. He found one he was looking for, and said he was close to finding the second one. Thanks Carl!



Female pilots from around the United States are participating in the ARC (Air Race Classic). The first and second locations to begin the race had to be adjusted due to weather. Many of the pilots will spend the night and take off after 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 18. Go to the Boone County Regional Airport on Airport Road, watch the planes land, and meet some great pilots!
