Congratulations to Matt Fay and his team at FIG Homes. The Harrison Regional Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting today to showcase the beautiful, affordable home on Durand Street across from Northvale Baptist Church.
Thursday, May 7 is the National Day of Prayer. Everyone is invited to the breakfast in the Signature Bank Community Room. $10 donation is appreciated for breakfast.
The Harrison Historic District Commission is scheduled to meet at 1 p.m. Monday, May 11, in the Administrative Conference Room at City Hall, 118 Industrial Park Road. The meeting is open to the public. Follow the link below for a preview of the meeting.

This subject matter isn't near as much fun to post about as the wonderful Harrison150 celebration on Friday. Thank you to everyone who attended and all the wonderful vendors who provided fun gifts and activities for our community! But, working sewer systems are a part of a thriving community. And it will take everyone following the rules to keep our systems in great shape. No matter what the package displays, wipes are not safe for anyone's systems.
It's time to help your neighbors again by donating blood at City Hall on Wednesday, May 27.
It's time to focus on June 6. The Country Club is the host for the Harrison150 Gala. Tickets are available for the dinner and award presentations and seating is limited. But, since the Club is also celebrating a big birthday (100 years) they have invited all of the community to a encore party afterwards around the pool, which includes swimming, a corn hole contest, putting contest and snacks beginning around 7:30 p.m.
Thursday, May 7 is the National Day of Prayer as proclaimed by Congress. Local events begin with a Prayer Breakfast at 7 a.m. in the Signature Bank Community Room. Cost is a $10 donation. Everyone is welcome.

Dr. DuShun Scarbrough Executive Director of the Arkansas Martin Luther Commission will be in Harrison at the Josh Pray event to present the City with a Proclamation in behalf of our 150th birthday! The celebration continues!!!

Perpetual Care Cemetery Board and Friends:
The Rose Hill Cemetery Clean up for May 16 has been postponed. We have other local groups planning to clean up this cemetery on Sun, May 3 from 12-4. Feel free to help if you want to attend and assist. But since we feel we dont need two weekends to clean it up, we will look at doing a clean up day in the fall perhaps.

Holt Memorial Chapel is showing their community pride! They have Harrison150 Funeral Fans to pass out today at the events in Downtown Harrison. Vendors set up at 3, and events begin at 4. Bring a lawn chair, grab a fan and you'll be set!
