THE HARRISON CHRISTMAS PARADE IS A GO for tonight! Bundle up, Mr. and Mrs. Claus will be coming from the North Pole, so let's bundle up, Harrison, and enjoy a great parade!
The offices at City Hall will be closed on Thanksgiving and Friday to allow employees to spend time with their families.
Be sure to check the schedule during holiday hours to ensure everything is open.
LRS will continue their regular trash and recycling pick-up this week, even on Thanksgiving. So have your containers in place the night before so you aren't passed by if they run very early.
The Historic District Commission will meet Monday, Dec. 1 in the administration conference room at City Hall at 1 p.m.

Chief Chris Graddy presented a Citizen Award to Kayla Warren for going above and beyond her civic duties.
“On October 4, 2025, at approximately 12:39 a.m., she assisted officers and family by calling in an accident and assisting the family (with three minors in car seats) out of a vehicle that was resting on a six-foot drop. She assisted officers investigating the accident by tending to the needs of the three minors. She and her husband took the three minors into her care, providing shelter, food, and care for over an hour until their grandparents could arrive.”

Police Officers will be at Walmart accepting donations for their project, allowing them to shop with kids for Christmas. Donations can also be received from 8-5 at City Hall. Thank you in advance. This community has always supported this project with BIG HEARTS!!!!

Welcome, Lindsey Severs, to the Harrison Police Department as our newest patrolman. Mayor Jerry Jackson swore in Patrolman Severs.
I wanted to thank everyone who attended the Downtown Rising: Opportunity Summit on Monday afternoon. It exceeded our expectations with 130 people in attendance. The following day, I received calls from three individuals. Two were interested in doing business on the square, and one was interested in buying a building.
I didn’t expect all of that to come immediately. However, the word is out that our downtown area is on the rise. We have a lot in store for the future. Thanks again for supporting downtown Harrison.

Police Officers will be receiving donations at Walmart this Friday and Saturday for the Cops & Kids program. Before Christmas, some kids will have an opportunity to shop with an officer and purchase gifts for their families. The police department at City Hall can also accept donations.
