The Harrison Police Department is preparing for the Rodeo Parade, which begins at 4 p.m. today, Sept. 25. Parade participants will conclude the parade at the Creekside Parking lot.
Fall Clean-up is Oct. 6-10. LRS will pick up approved items on the curb on the customer's regular trash and recycling day. Call LRS if you have questions about items not covered on the list. BUT READ THE LIST FIRST!

Harrison Public Schools, FFA, the Kiwanis Club of Harrison, Anstaff Bank, The Chamber, and Harrison Public Schools Foundation hosted a Farmer Fred Day to honor the memory of Fred Woehl, who spent years instructing more than 1,000 students about the importance of agriculture and the family farm.

Today, the Harrison Regional Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon-cutting event with Luby Equipment, formerly Potter Equipment. The team at Luby offers equipment sales, rental, service, and parts. The phone number is 870-741-8900. Hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday. The location remains at 302 W. Industrial Park Road.
Funk Factory Party Band will perform a free concert at the Creekside Amp this Saturday, Sept. 27. Shayla Johnson, from College of the Ozarks, will open the stage at 6:30 with Funk Factory performing from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. FREE CONCERT! Bring your blankets or lawn chairs, and you'll probably want your dancing shoes! FAMILY FRIENDLY!
This Wednesday, Sept. 24, the American Red Cross will host a blood drive from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Sign up today for your appointment time, or walk-ins are available but may take longer.

The Alcohol Beverage Control Board (ABC) met at 1 p.m. on Sept. 19 to approve the alcohol licenses for Dollar General Stores No. 3943 and No. 12468. Board members present were Jason Patience, Joel Williams, and Howard Braymer. City Clerk James White and the Mayor’s Executive Assistant Christeen Waters led the meeting. They adjourned at 1:17 p.m.

Wow, what an ordeal. I have a large hole in my sewer pipe, but luckily, it’s close to the house where they dug it. They also suspect I have a clog inside the house, causing that toilet to be slow.
Joey Casey was my point of contact, but he had two teammates with him, Johnnie and Patrick. Please let their boss know that those guys are awesome. They spent time teaching me how to better care for my water and sewer pipes, they included me while they were taking video of my sewer line and explained what they were seeing, which helped me understand not only where my lines are, but also the condition they are in. Lastly, they answered all my questions and made me feel so valued, not only as a customer, but as a person. GREAT experience!

The Harrison Alcoholic Beverage Control Board will meet at 1 p.m. Friday, September 19, in the Administrative Conference Room at City Hall, 118 Industrial Park Road. The meeting is open to the public.
