Here's the proposed agenda for the Planning Commission meeting today, Aug. 26 at 1 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall 118 Industrial Park Road.

ABC meeting today at 1 p.m.

The HDBR sponsored a firetruck pull, and 10 teams participated to raise funds for Special Olympics. A total of $4,785 was raised today. The fastest team after two pulls was No Weak Links with 35 seconds. The next was the Harrison Fire Department with 36 seconds, and third was ReMax with 36.7 seconds. The best spirit award went to the Hauligans Team. Participating teams were Weichert Realty, El Mexico Lindo, Team Drew, Anstaff Bank, ReMax Truck Boys, Hauligans, Vigilante Inspections, No Weak Links, Boone County Sheriff's Department, and the Fire Department.

Be sure to note that the staff at the windows of City Hall have training today from 11:30-1:00.

The Water Department will be receiving some training on Friday, and the window will be closed from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. You can always pay online at harrisonar.gov .

As a part of our ongoing efforts to enhance our city’s infrastructure,
W. College Ave. between S. Spruce and S. Hickory St. will be closed Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2025 from 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. for a water repair.

A scam is going around our area. Make sure your family and friends know it is a scam. Entergy will not call you and demand payment over the phone. If you are concerned, hang up and call the main Entergy number (not the one the scammers gave you). That's the best way to check on your balance.
