Make sure you have signed up for CodeRED Alerts. Storm sirens will also go off, but it is sometimes better to hear a notification in your home. Fire Chief Marc Lowery said, "911 is supposed to set the sirens off Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at noon as a test. But they never "test" them on a bad weather day." If you need assistance with signing up for CodeRED you can call 870-204-5688 and we will help.

Congratulations to NARMC and the Chamber for a great “State of Health Care” breakfast. Some of the key points learned: 750 local jobs, bringing $189 million into the community a year. NARMC is 1 of only 35 birthing centers in the state. More than 450 babies were delivered last year at NARMC. NARMC has pediatric autism testing. (1 in 36 children have a form of autism) Many staff members have received state and national awards. The Pharmacy has recently been approved for a retail permit, which allows patients to take the necessary prescriptions home. The work of the hospital provided 640 jobs outside of the hospital in 2022. Community Benefits Program targets the high cost of prescriptions to help people take what they need but can’t afford. The Medication Management team assists patients in the hospital and after they go home with the proper use of pain medication management. President & CEO Bo Ryall of the Arkansas Hospital Association said the state's Maternal Healthcare initiative is very positive. NARMC is one of 35 birthing centers in the state. More than half of the births in the state have to be paid for by Medicaid. Ryall felt the restrictions lifted on hospital pharmacies were great for patients and hospitals. He also mentioned that the Governor wanted to continue the $200,000 benefits for those who normally would not have insurance but could retain private insurance through this plan. Thank you, CEO Sammie Cribbs Roberson, for assembling speakers with interesting information. Congratulations, Clinical Pharmacist Steve Richards, for your 43 years of service.
