Monday, more utility work was being done on the Goblin Drive project. Remember to slow down.

Here's a map to show alternative routes while a portion of Goblin Drive is closed.

GOBLIN DRIVE DETOUR BEGINNING AS EARLY AS JULY 8, 2025
A section of Goblin Drive will be closed beginning as early as the morning of Tuesday, July 8. To facilitate roadway reconstruction through Baker Prairie, Goblin Drive will be closed through the prairie for an extended period. Traffic will be detoured to Speer Drive and Burls Way. Detour signage will be in place to inform drivers of the detour route. We recognize that this will be an inconvenience for drivers, but this closure is essential for minimizing impacts to Baker Prairie. We will continue to provide updates about planned closures and detours on this page.

Have a safe July 4! Don't forget the free fireworks show at the Anstaff Soccer Fields. There is a very special surprise addition to the show tonight. Kids parade and DAR this morning on the square.

Here's a drawing that may help you understand the Goblin Drive detour, which is expected to begin on Tuesday, July 8.

Friday, July 4 is full of activities for the memorable holiday.

Here's a bridge update

LRS will pick up the usual Friday route even though it is July 4. Thank you!

You are invited!

Don't forget offices will be closed for July 4. You can still pay your water bill, 24/7 at HarrisonAR.gov .

Look who made the newspaper after high winds damaged Harrison on Sunday night.

LRS will pick up trash and recyclables this week on the regular schedule. Thank you, LRS, for taking great care of our community.

With sadness, the Harrison Police Department announced that K9 Jerry has a tumor, which is causing internal bleeding, and the condition is inoperable. K9 Jerry served from 2015 to 2021. Jerry is a Sable German Shepherd from the Czech Republic. He was trained as a dual-purpose K9 (narcotics/apprehension). He was friendly but knew when it was time to work. K9 team Morgan and Jerry received several awards from the Harrison Police Department and an award from the FBI. His service to the community and his friendship will never be forgotten.
