Boone County is still under a burn ban. Hopefully, we will get enough rain soon to remove it. But until we get the official word, NO OUTSIDE BURNING! This includes the BBQ Grill!

Burn Ban issued
Reposted with permission:
"Just witnessed something that deserves recognition. A fire truck came through the intersection today off Industrial Park Rd with lights flashing and sirens blaring—and unfortunately, not everyone stopped like they should have. It could have turned into a really bad situation in seconds.
But the driver? Absolute professionalism. The way they handled that truck and avoided what could’ve been a serious accident was nothing short of impressive. To whoever was behind the wheel—thank you for staying sharp, skilled, and focused under pressure. You not only protect lives when you’re responding to emergencies, but today you prevented one too.Lets all do better about pulling over and paying attention when emergency vehicles are coming through. Those few seconds matter more than we think. ❤️🚒 I was panicking for everyone while I watched. 🥴 and I know…those that didn’t see didn’t do it on purpose."
