Camp Jack is ready to celebrate their grand reopening, and the public is invited.

Here is an updated proposed agenda for Monday night, Aug. 4 Special Called City Council Meeting to be held at City Hall 118 Industrial Park Road at 6 p.m.

Thank you, Casey's North, Good Guys Pizza, and Harrison Parks and Rec for hosting a swim party for the Frontline Families. Lt. Justin Waldon aided in picking up the pizzas from Good Guys.

Stacey Gregory, with the Harrison Water and Sewer Construction Department, paints a fire hydrant on Main Street. All fire hydrants are painted a certain color to match the water pressure and water flow from that particular hydrant, which lets the Harrison Fire Department's firemen know when they connect the fire hose to the hydrant when putting out a house or business fire.

The First Friday Entrepreneurial Coffee was hosted by the Harrison Regional Chamber of Commerce and Acacia Johnson, a licensed professional counselor and founder of Simple Soul Counseling. The Johnson family also owns Venue 121 on Main Street, which features space to rent for weddings and baby showers and a special area for the bridal party to prepare for the wedding. Estes Ace Hardware and the Harrison Regional Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon-cutting on Friday to celebrate the new ownership. Located across from Wendy's, the full-service home improvement store focuses on paint, power tools, firearms, backyard, BBQ, and home improvements. Store hours are Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday 8-5 p.m. and Sunday 12-5 p.m. They make keys and are a UPS drop off facility.

South Willow St. between W. Stephenson Ave. and W. Central Ave. AND
S. Spring St. between W. Stephenson Ave. and W. Central Ave.
will be closed Thursday, July 31, 2025, from 7:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.
Friday, Aug. 1, 2025 for a street project.

The northbound lane of Old Farm Road just south of Capps Road
between the addresses of 287 and 301 Old Farm Rd. will be closed
Friday, Aug. 1, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. for a street
project.

Crouse Construction has started work on Phase 2 of the Goblin Drive Project. The construction will widen the road and add sidewalks. Detour signs are in place, but if you don't have to be on Goblin Drive, use Hwy. 397 or Main Street.

Digital Wave and the Harrison Regional Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon-cutting on Thursday morning. For more than 12 years, Digital Wave has provided IT services to Southern Missouri and Northern Arkansas. The company's main office is in Branson, but looking for a Harrison location. The Harrison Regional Chamber of Commerce and the 1915 Cafe and Bakery hosted a ribbon cutting on Wednesday, July 30. Located at 119 E. Stephenson Ave. they are open Monday-Saturday 8 a.m. to 5 :30. The menu is at 1915cafe.com and Facebook.

Police Chief Chris Graddy will be on "Around the Table" today with one of the officers to speak about "Back to School" traffic. Tune in on Facebook or your radio at 94.9 FM or 900 AM at KHOZ. They will have the 9:15 segment, but tune in early. Always interesting!

The Region 2 Drug Task Force hosted a one-day seminar with various speakers and breakout sessions. Kyle Evatt presented awards to the City of Harrison and the Harrison Police Force for participating in the drug prevention programs.
