Stacey Gregory, with the Harrison Water and Sewer Construction Department, paints a fire hydrant on Main Street. All fire hydrants are painted a certain color to match the water pressure and water flow from that particular hydrant, which lets the Harrison Fire Department's firemen know when they connect the fire hose to the hydrant when putting out a house or business fire.

The First Friday Entrepreneurial Coffee was hosted by the Harrison Regional Chamber of Commerce and Acacia Johnson, a licensed professional counselor and founder of Simple Soul Counseling. The Johnson family also owns Venue 121 on Main Street, which features space to rent for weddings and baby showers and a special area for the bridal party to prepare for the wedding. Estes Ace Hardware and the Harrison Regional Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon-cutting on Friday to celebrate the new ownership. Located across from Wendy's, the full-service home improvement store focuses on paint, power tools, firearms, backyard, BBQ, and home improvements. Store hours are Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday 8-5 p.m. and Sunday 12-5 p.m. They make keys and are a UPS drop off facility.

The northbound lane of Old Farm Road just south of Capps Road
between the addresses of 287 and 301 Old Farm Rd. will be closed

Crouse Construction has started work on Phase 2 of the Goblin Drive Project. The construction will widen the road and add sidewalks. Detour signs are in place, but if you don't have to be on Goblin Drive, use Hwy. 397 or Main Street.
