The Summer Low Income Household Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) is currently open and accepting applications. This program is designed to help eligible low-income households cover energy costs, ensuring they stay cool and safe during the hot summer months. There are several convenient ways to obtain an application for the LIHEAP: Online: Visit https://www.ozarkopp.org/utility-assistance to download an application.

-Email: You can request an application by emailing your details to mailto:liheap@ozarkopp.org. Ensure you include any necessary information to expedite your request.

- In-Person: Pick up a physical application at your local outreach office. The offices are located in: Harrison, Mt. Home, and Clinton. Please note that the office hours for all outreach locations are Monday-Friday, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.. Be sure to visit during these times to receive assistance or submit your application in person. This program aims to alleviate the burden of energy costs for those in need, and we encourage eligible households to apply as soon as possible. If you have any questions or require further assistance, do not hesitate to reach out through the provided contact methods.

A detour will begin Tuesday morning, July 8. Crouse Construction has signage ready to go. A portion of Goblin Drive will be closed to through traffic during this project phase. A detour is set up at Speer Drive and Burls Way.

With sadness, the Harrison Police Department announced that K9 Jerry has a tumor, which is causing internal bleeding, and the condition is inoperable. K9 Jerry served from 2015 to 2021. Jerry is a Sable German Shepherd from the Czech Republic. He was trained as a dual-purpose K9 (narcotics/apprehension). He was friendly but knew when it was time to work. K9 team Morgan and Jerry received several awards from the Harrison Police Department and an award from the FBI. His service to the community and his friendship will never be forgotten.
