Thank You, Harrison
On behalf of my family and myself, I want to thank this incredible community for the outpouring of love and support we’ve received following the passing of my wife, Peggy, on April 9.
The cards, kind messages, and thoughtful gestures have especially touched us. They’ve reminded us of the strength and compassion that define Harrison.
Some may not have known that Peggy had been privately battling melanoma for the past three years. She wished to keep it mostly within the family; we honored that. Since then, I’ve come to realize how many others in our community are quietly facing cancer themselves.
It’s a sobering reminder that there are private struggles behind so many familiar faces we may never see. She was a remarkable woman; this town meant a lot to her as it does to me.
Thank you again, Harrison. You’ve shown once more why this is such a special place to call home.
Mayor Jerry Jackson
